A mid-sized two-row SUV with more off-road chops than most, the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee is every bit as grand as its name suggests. And like most Jeeps, it’s got trims for days to ensure that everyone, from the daily commuter to the weekend trail warrior, can find exactly what they need to conquer their world. The question is, which one fits you best?
Trim Levels of the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee
1. Laredo A
The most affordable Grand Cherokee, the Laredo A, comes with all the basics you’d expect, plus a dose of comfort and tech to make it more than just a starter SUV. Highlights include a capable V6 engine, dual-zone AC, power driver seat, adaptive cruise control, power mirrors, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and advanced safety features. Note that it’s rear-wheel drive only, so it’s got the smoothness and efficiency for your daily drives.
2. Laredo
The Laredo includes most of the features of the Laredo A and throws in a few optional goodies for good measure. They include a power liftgate, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, heated front seats, and a remote start system that allows you to fire your engine up to 300 feet away with a push of a button on the keyfob.
3. Laredo X
Want a Laredo with a little more swagger? Go for the Laredo X. It includes all the features of the previous trim, standard and optional, and adds a single-pane sunroof just in case you fancy a bit of fresh air while sitting in traffic.
4. Altitude
The Altitude is all about giving you more without making you dig through the options list. It standardizes nearly all the optional features found in the Laredo, like heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, and adds some trim-specific offerings like scratch-resistant leatherette upholstery.
5. Altitude X
You can think of the Altitude X as an Altitude with a sunroof. A simple addition, but it makes all the difference when you want more fun.
6. Limited
Next up is the Limited model, which brings the following to the lineup:
- More interior and exterior color options
- Heated front and rear seats
- A larger display screen
- Six premium speakers
- Active noise cancellation
7. Overland
If you want even more luxury, step up to this model, as it includes a foot-controlled liftgate, Nappa leather seats, heated and cooled front seats, nine speakers with a subwoofer, dual-pane sunroof, parking assist, and selectable drive modes for all conditions (snow, sand, mud, and auto).
8. Summit
As the next rung up, the Summit comes with all the bells and whistles you expect from a luxury SUV, like massaging seats, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, unique interior accents, and a wood leather-wrapped steering wheel. And let’s not overlook the stylish bi-tone exterior colors and passenger seat memory because why should only the driver get all the luxuries?
9. Summit Reserve
Sitting at the top of the lineup is the Summit Reserve. It’s fully loaded with lavish amenities, including heated and cooled massaging seats, a 19-speaker high-performance audio system, 360 view, and an optional head-up display.
